ICE cancellations and delays between Fulda and Frankfurt – FFH.de

Train passengers have to be prepared for delays and cancellations on the Fulda – Hanau route. According to Bahn, the reason is a landslide near Steinau an der Straße, which was detected around 10 p.m. on Monday evening. According to Bahn, the clean-up work is expected to last until tonight. As the railway announces, there is still one track available on the route. However, several connections are expected to be lost by this evening or will take 15 to 50 minutes longer.

The affected connections

  • The ICE trains on the route Berlin – Braunschweig – Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe – Fulda – Frankfurt(M) Süd – Frankfurt(M) Airport are canceled in both directions between Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe and Frankfurt(M) Airport.
  • The ICE trains on the route Wiesbaden – Frankfurt(M) Airport – Frankfurt(M) Hbf – Fulda – Erfurt – Leipzig – Dresden are canceled in both directions between Wiesbaden and Fulda.
  • The ICE trains on the route Hamburg – Hanover – Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe – Frankfurt(M) Hbf – Frankfurt(M) Flughafen – Stuttgart will be delayed in both directions between Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe and Frankfurt(M) Hbf by around 50 minutes and will also be diverted in both directions between Frankfurt(M) Hbf and Mannheim. The stop at Frankfurt(M) Airport will be omitted.
  • All other IC/ICE trains between Fulda and Hanau/Frankfurt(M) are running on their scheduled routes, but are delayed by around 15 minutes.
