I want my children to understand that the police are good

Rapper Bushido (43) wants to convey to his children that the police are “a good thing”. Since he fell out with a clan chief, he and his family have been under police protection. People still consider this to be exaggerated, as Bushido told the editorial network Germany (RND / Friday). “Police protection, you don’t need that kind of thing in Germany, they say. But that’s not true. It is no coincidence that we are protected by armed officers and driven through the area in armored vehicles.” It should make everyone think that a family is exposed to such a danger.

“The same people who take care of our children today used to carry out our house searches,” said Bushido. “It is important to me that my children understand that the police are something good, something important.” Bushido, whose real name is Anis Mohamed Ferchichi, and his wife Anna-Maria have seven children together after the birth of triplets about two weeks ago.

When asked how much Bushido is left from the past, the rapper said: “It still exists, and I’ll even be releasing a new album next month … But believe me, I’ve never been so little Bushido, but as much aniseed Ferchichi as I am today, “emphasized the 43-year-old. “This whole cliché of the bad gangsta rapper, hitting people, being criminals and blah blah that determined my life back then is only a very small part today, buried somewhere deep inside me.”

On Thursday, a spokeswoman for the Potsdam public prosecutor’s office confirmed that Bushido had been charged with suspected joint arson. There are two other accused. The “Stern” had previously reported.

In 2013 there was a fire in Bushido’s villa in Kleinmachnow (Potsdam-Mittelmark district), the police assumed it was arson. The district had previously imposed a construction freeze because conditions on the listed villa had not been complied with. The spokeswoman did not say whether the charges relate to this case. Bushido’s lawyer Steffen Tzschoppe did not want to comment on the request of the German Press Agency.
