Ryszard Terlecki, head of the PiS parliamentary club, was asked to assess the result of Andrzej Duda. – It could have been better, it could have been like according to polls in Podkarpacie and I think it will be in the second round. But we still have to wait for it and earn it – said the deputy speaker of the Sejm.
Terlecki points out that Bosak and Duda are “very connected”. – I hope that Krzysztof Bosak’s voters will go to vote for Andrzej Duda and will not let Poland go to waste – he added.
End of the first round
According to exit poll results, President Andrzej Duda won 41.8 percent in Sunday’s elections. The second place was taken by KO candidate Rafał Trzaskowski with a result of 30.4 percent. It is these two politicians who enter the second round, which will take place in two weeks, on July 12. The next places were taken by: Szymon Hołownia – 13.3 percent votes, Krzysztof Bosak – 7.4 percent, Robert Biedroń – 2.9 percent, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz – 2.6 percent
Voter turnout was record-breaking and amounted to almost 63 percent.
