“I have no morale at all”

Since Thursday, April 8, 2021, a heated debate has been opened by the National Assembly on euthanasia. A sensitive subject that touches many people. The bill has very little chance of success, which arouses the disappointment of Françoise Hardy, who has lost the will to live.

Guest on the set of “C à vous” on France 5 on Thursday April 8, 2021, Françoise Hardy indulged in disappointment that she feels because of the government’s opposition to euthanasia. The 77-year-old singer does not understand such a relentlessness against this right, which she considers fundamental.

The debate is in full swing in France, because of the discussion on the right to death with dignity. Many camps are opposed and opinions are mixed between the French.

FRANÇOISE HARDY FOR EUHANASIA

If the government does not seem favorable to this law, some celebrities are completely disoriented by this refusal to accept euthanasia. This is the case of Françoise Hardy, who hoped that France would legalize the right to die with dignity, as in many countries.

However, the septuagenarian lost all hope when she understood that the deputies are not ready to be in favor of this text.

If Olivier Falorni, the deputy who proposed this law on the right to die freely and with dignity, received a tornado of ovations, his proposal was not accepted.

Emmanuel Macron and Olivier Véran think that the timing is wrong to open such a debate, in particular because of the health crisis which causes thousands of deaths in France.

“I was in good spirits at the prospect that at last France would be honored to legalize euthanasia and since this morning, I no longer have any morale at all, at all”,

has explained the singer on Thursday April 8, 2021 on France 5, aware that euthanasia is not ready to be legalized in France.

A commitment so that euthanasia is legally accepted as the former companion of Jacques Dutronc even for more than 60 years. Françoise Hardy has moreover helped his mother Madeleine to die in dignity in 1991, when she suffered from Charcot’s disease.
