«My father Cosimo is an ASL driver, my mother Luisa worked as a seamstress at home for years. There was not a lot of money and in order to study dance at the Harmony School in Naples I had to make many sacrifices ».

«No designer clothes, my mom used to sew tutus for me, who made me delicious bonnets with crochet to put on top of the bun. We had to make all the sacrifices ».

How did you get from Secondigliano to Milan?
“Passing through Rome, where I moved when I was 16”.

Alone?
“Yup. I had graduated early in ballet and by staying in Naples I couldn’t have done much more. So, against the will of my father, who did not understand how my passion could turn into a profession, I looked for a room in Rome. For a long time he and I did not speak to each other, in fact, I was the one angry with him. Today I understand that his was only fear, and perhaps also frustration at not being able to give me what he wanted ».

«Re di Roma neighborhood, I lived with the landlady. My room cost 225 euros a month and was empty: I slept on an inflatable mattress, I kept my suitcase open for clothes. My parents gave me 400-500 euros a month. I could spend about eighty for dance lessons: I ate pasta and beans or pasta and cherry tomatoes for weeks. And at the audition for Hi Darwin I met Marco Garofalo, who unfortunately no longer exists. He chose me and in the fourth episode he entrusted me with a prima ballerina piece.
