Polish footballer Robert Lewandowski was not upset at all by the fact that his Argentine rival Lionel Messi did not vote for him in the FIFA poll The Best 2021.
Bayern Munich’s 30-year-old striker defended the championship on Monday when he defeated other finalists – Messi from Paris St. Germain and Egyptian Mohamed Salah of Liverpool FC.

As captain of Argentina, Messi had the opportunity to vote in the poll and chose teammates from PSG Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benze from Real Madrid. “Lewa” as captain of Poland put Messi in second place behind Jorginh of Chelsea London and ahead of Cristian Ronald of Manchester United.
“It simply came to our notice then. I certainly didn’t do anything to be angry with me except the sports side. In private, I hope everything is fine as well. It was his decision, I respect that. I have nothing to say and I don’t have to be angry at all. ” the DPA quoted Poliaka.
The captain of the Slovak national team, Marek Hamšík, put Lewandowski first, Messi second and Jorginha third. The coach of the national team, Štefan Tarkovič, voted almost the same as Hamšík, only he replaced Belgian Kevin De Bruyne from Manchester City instead of Messi. Michal Zeman (Pravda), who elected a trio of Lewandowski, Messi, Benzema, voted for the Slovak media.
