Change of perspective of President Iohannis between the period from the beginning of the mandate of President of Romania and the current one, regarding plagiarism. Klaus Iohannis declared on Tuesday evening, in a press conference in Cotroceni, that “everyone is doing their job” regarding the plagiarism accusations against Prime Minister Nicolae Ciucă. On the same subject, Iohannis was much more vehement in 2014, when Victor Ponta was accused of plagiarism.
What Klaus Iohannis said in 2014, in the context of Victor Ponta’s plagiarism:
“If someone who writes their doctoral dissertation copies it, it seems to me a proportionately bigger problem and it’s called plagiarism. Everywhere in the world someone who is caught, someone among politicians, is caught cheating only three lines and plagiarizing is forced by the political class to withdraw from politics. In our country, one of them wants to be the president of Romania “.
What Klaus Iohannis says in 2022, in the context of Nicolae Ciuca’s plagiarism:
“Believe me, I don’t know the details of what’s going on there, I’m not called to analyze a politician’s doctoral dissertation, and on the other hand, I have every confidence that everyone who is put to the analysis is doing their job like the world.” .
