It was through Twitter that we discovered the existence of a rather specific hand-to-hand weapon proposed in Hyper Scape:
This rare ax called Couperet de l’Entreprise and whose description is “in the arena, HR won’t hear you scream” does not seem to be a fake. And everything suggests that this is a joke falling at a very bad time.
It is recalled that Ubisoft has been in the spotlight for several weeks after dozens of harassment and toxic behavior charges were brought against several executives. An investigation by Liberation and another by Numerama brought more testimonies, evoking sordid attitudes. The allegations, taken seriously by Yves Guillemot, have already led to resignations, including that of No. 2, Serge Hascoët, and Cécile Cornet, Director of Human Resources. This department which is suspected of having silenced the various complaints is clearly the target of this skin.
We will wonder if this is not the cry of the heart of a developer. And it remains to be seen whether this weapon will remain in Hyper Scape, available in Beta recently. In any case, if this is a joke, it may not make everyone laugh.
