At least three people have died and several others have been injured in an explosion at a hydroelectric plant in Italy, Reuters and AFP report. Several people are still missing.

The accident happened in northern Italy in Bargi, located between Florence and Bologna, on Lake Suviana, on Tuesday around 16:00 Finnish time.

According to the energy company Enel, the fire started in the power plant’s transformer. According to the company, the dam basin has not been damaged.
