Total CEO Patrick Pouyanné
revealed that his group plans to stop marketing fuel oil for
thermal power stations.
According to the CEO, Total produced more than 4% of last year
fuel oil consumption for thermal power stations, one of the petroleum products
most polluting products that exist. So, “we want to stop
sell fuel oil to produce energy, “said Patrick Pouyanné,
in an interview with Reuters Agency.
In order to meet the energy needs of a
larger population, the group also intends to fight global warming, by
taking into account the development parameters
from the International Energy Agency (IAE).
The leading European oil refiner, this group has crossed,
on October 30, 2019, the bar of 3 million barrels produced per day.
But profits have plummeted due to the drop in world prices.
