Cyclone Daniel roared over the north at up to 140 km / h. The fire brigade had to go on numerous missions in Bremen and Lower Saxony.
Hanover / Bremen – There was an official storm warning: Cyclone Daniel rushed through northern Germany on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, leaving behind destruction. The fire department in Lower Saxony was in constant use. In the Oldenburg area alone, there were 40 weather-related missions until early Thursday morning.

The emergency services were mainly challenged by overturned objects or fallen trees. There was only material damage in the area of operation, no people were injured. The police recorded most operations in Oldenburg, in the district of Osterholz, Diepholz and in Cuxhaven.
Worse the reports from the Gifhorn district. There, near the community of Wesendorf, a 63-year-old was killed when a tree fell on his Audi.
