Hunt underway for perpetrators of MTA bus shooting in Brooklyn

The victim is a 25-year-old man who, according to police, was shot in the buttocks inside an MTA bus after an argument with a couple, a man and a woman.
According to authorities, those involved are unknown.

The shooting occurred on a B 44 bus Tuesday night at about 10:20 a.m. near the intersection of Empire Boulevard and Rogers Avenue in Brooklyn’s Prospect Lefferts Gardens.

Detectives are on the trail of the couple who could be teenagers, according to police reports.

Apparently, there was an argument that escalated to a shootout inside the bus, endangering the lives of innocent passengers.

The suspects fled the scene on foot while the gunshot wounded man was taken to Kings County Hospital and is expected to recover.

At the moment, the reason for the altercation that could have cost him his life is unknown.

This morning we spoke with a Hispanic man, a worker from the area who takes the bus.

“I couldn’t believe what happened, it’s the only means of transportation. It’s scary here, you don’t feel safe either on the bus, on the train, or walking, ”she says.

The police want to find the couple they point to as responsible and ask the public to call confidentially 1-888-57-PISTA.
