Hungry pets due to malfunction of Petnet | NOW

Pets who receive their food through a smart Petnet food bowl have not always received their food due to a disruption of more than a week. That reports the BBC Tuesday. Company devices did not always work as well, so pets that were alone at home sometimes had to do without food.

With Petnet’s Smartfeeder, owners can set pets to receive a specific portion of food at set times. Due to a fault with the second generation of the Smartfeeder, the device did not always work. A boss complains on Twitter that her cat “starved for a week”.

On February 14, Petnet said in a tweet that they were investigating the outage. The company was not available via email during the outage, writes the BBC.

The malfunction now seems resolved. It is not clear how exactly pets were affected and what exactly was the matter.
