The authorities of the country do not expect any negative consequences for those vaccinated with an expired vaccine.
The incident took place in the three cities of Sindelfingen, Reutlingen and Esslingen, which are located in the Baden-Württemberg region. In the first, the “delay” was applied from August 8 to September 14, and in the other two – from September 9.
According to preliminary information, the reason was incorrect labeling on the packaging of the drug. The indicated shelf life was longer than the permissible sanitary standards – three months instead of 30 days.
At the same time, local doctors said they saw no cause for concern. It is noted that the drug storage regime was not violated – it was “kept in the refrigerator all the time.”
A spokeswoman for the Sindelfingen Vaccination Center has already assured that there is no evidence that would indicate that longer storage affects the effectiveness of the drug.
Earlier Ukraine stated that can share COVID vaccines with other countries, which expires.
