A crowd of young people gathered outside the Harrods luxury department store, in Knightsbridge to celebrate a long night after a timid opening of the Boris Johnson government on the lockdown. The images that were seen are grotesque: chaos and hundreds of people gathered in the street, without a mask or keeping a safe distance.
You could see that the meeting was not accidental: they were prepared and well dressed for a night out. London police had to act and arrested four people after dispersing the entire crowd.
They did not want to end the party and returned to focus on the Covent Garden, in London’s West End. Some users reported the scenes through twitter.
Very proud of the lack of diversity at the Harrod’s carnage. #Harrods pic.twitter.com/R2DllH513s

The images were produced yesterday Saturday at 5.30 p.m. and were also repeated in parallel streets like Harvey Nichols. Images of violence were also experienced, two fought and a dozen are accused of a crime against public order. The crowd dispersed but they created a precedent in the way of understanding the progressive lack of refinement of the English.
Beyond the positives, English society is desperate. The Legatum Institute has reported that about 700,000 people in the UK have fallen into poverty as a result of the coronavirus. The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development says that “the economic outlook remains very uncertain, with the recovery of activity increasingly uncertain” and warns of a double threat: Covid and Brexit.
