On Friday the District Court of Winterthur found a couple guilty of human trafficking.

Three weeks ago, a couple had to answer for human trafficking at the Winterthur District Court. The two are accused of having exploited, threatened, abused and – in the case of the husband – sexually coerced a nanny. On the first day of the trial, the nanny, who appeared as a private plaintiff, described her experiences in the household of the accused for several hours. In addition, the couple are said to have illegally employed five other nannies, who, like the two accused, come from south-eastern Europe, and thus violated the Aliens Act.
