Huge organ motif to make money for Marienkirche loose

It doesn’t get much more conspicuous. But that’s the whole point. With a four-meter-wide and six-meter-high poster in front of the Marienkirche, the association is soliciting donations. You can still see the old organ. The subject will change soon.

Bad Segeberg. On the longest day of the year, just as the sun was at its highest, Professor Asmus J. Hintz presented the next promotional idea for the new organ in St. Mary’s Church. “3000 whistles for a hallelujah” is the title of the large-scale campaign. “Big” is really to be taken literally. Because the sign that is to stand on the lawn in front of the church for three years is almost exactly the size of the future instrument.

The poster is four meters wide and 6.50 meters high – making it a decent building in itself. Specialist planning was needed to ensure that the huge area could also withstand winter storms. Engineer Björn Pape from the engineering office Pape und Dingeldein in Schackendorf took over; the Groß Rönnauer architect Achim Kölbel created the construction drawing. Both worked voluntarily without remuneration.
