Hubbard Street Dance Chicago presents 4 choreographies at the Dance Theater

The company Hubbard Street Dance Chicago arrives in our country, thanks to the artistic residence that its first dancers did within the Mexican company visual danceto present four dance proposals this Monday, June 27 and Tuesday, June 28 at the Guillermina Bravo Dance Theater of Forest Cultural Center.

The program will consist of four choreographies, highlighting the world premiere of Three´sa Crowd | Three is a crowdresult of the residence that Burnett y Schultz they did with the Mexican group co-directed by Patricia Marín Escutia, Leonardo Beltrán and Rogelio Marín.

In this piece, its authors create a soundscape with an eclectic mix of music and sounds from both inside and outside a house, while the dancers evoke fragments of experiences that reveal their connection with nature and everyday human existence.

The other pieces that will make up the program are Romans, excerpt from Echo Mine y Connection, excerpt from Dichotomy of a journeywhich are part of the Hubbard Street Dance Chicago repertoire and which its directors allowed to be performed in Mexico.

For its part, visual dance will participate with the piece The Uncertainty Principle our father, ourcontemporary dance that reflects on two epistemological states of consciousness.

Considered to be one of the most important contemporary dance groups in the United States, as they tour that country throughout the year. Founded 44 years ago, it has performed in celebrated dance halls in 44 states and 19 countries, under the direction of Jacqueline Burnett and David Schultz.
