Huawei P40 Pro: First live pictures show smartphone in the wild

So far there have been only a few render images from Huawei See P40 Pro. Some of them are more detailed, others are less exciting to look at. Now the Chinese flagship seems to have appeared in the wild in China and was photographed directly. But there is not much to see at first. After all, you get a good look at the display. The back, however, is not recognizable.

As expected, the display shows the previously speculated curved edges. At least the right and left sides can be seen. Apparently the display is supposed to be curved on all sides and therefore also above and below. However, since the upper part of the display is black to hide the status bar, we don’t see much from the curved approach to the upper edge. Even the shell that Huawei P40 Pro is supposed to hide far too much at this point.

But what the black bar on the status bar cannot hide is the smartphone’s selfie camera. Huawei seems to have opted for a punch-hole camera in the upper left corner. It is also a dual system with two lenses. This at least coincides with the previous rumors and leaks about the smartphone.

However, you cannot see the back. Unfortunately, the protective cover blocks the view of the built-in camera. This should at least be designed as a quad system and be installed in two rows. After all, there is a hint for the two rows via the case, since two flaps are integrated in the supposed places. Otherwise there is not much to see here.
