Huawei plans to open a new flagship store in Brussels in the coming months, Walter Ji, head of the Consumer Business Group in Europe, told Data News. In addition, the company plans to bring its smart glasses to Belgium soon.
The new store will be located in Avenue Louise, a popular area for high-end stores such as the Apple Store. The opening was expected by Christmas, but will likely be delayed to January or February. The store will feature more than just smartphones and tablets, promoting Huawei’s vision of smart connectivity in the office, home, health, mobility and leisure. It complements an existing Huawei service center in the center of Brussels, opened in 2015.
The launch in Belgium of Huawei’s smart glasses developed with Gentle Monster will follow before the end of the year, Ji said. No prices have yet been given for the product, but the devices are already on sale in other European countries for just under 400 euros.
