Jakarta, Selular.ID – Huawei is a vendor that has presented a number of folding screen smartphones.
Huawei Mate X, Huawei Mate Xs and Mate X2 have been released. If Huawei releases folding screen smartphones consistently enough, this can mean that Huawei has its own market for premium smartphones.
And now Huawei is reportedly preparing its next folding screen smartphone, the Huawei Mate V, and it is said that the clamshell device is designed like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3.
The leak came through a source on Chinese social media platform Weibo, and mass production seems to have started. That means it could be unveiled before the end of the year.
As is known, the Galaxy Z Flip is a folding mobile phone device with a luxurious design. The shape is also smaller when compared to the Galaxy Z Fold which has a sideways opening and closing scheme.
Therefore, Huawei allegedly wants a similar device in order to maintain its existence in the foldable smartphone industry. Some assessors also think that the clamshell style that Huawei wants to make is aimed at reducing production costs.
The reason is that foldable smartphones use fewer hinges and some simpler components.
So far, the information about this folding smartphone is still not the strongest. The only other detail gleaned from the source of the foldable smartphone will come with a “fashionable” design and various color schemes.
As is known, rumors about the Huawei clamshell folding phone have been circulating since a few months ago. And as for the patent itself, Huawei registered this device more than a year ago, and Huawei’s next foldable smartphone is reportedly the Huawei Mate V.
Due to the ongoing trade restrictions that the US has imposed on Huawei, Huawei will have to settle for 4G technology for now. And the Huawei Mate V is said to be running a 4G version of the Snapdragon 888 when it debuts.
Can Huawei compete with the Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G with the 4G version? considering that this premium Samsung smartphone has been equipped with fifth-generation cellular services.
