Huawei held a launch event in China today filled with several announcements including the Huawei Enjoy 50z phone, which is actually a rebranded Y61 nova for the Chinese market.
The Enjoy 50z offers a 6.52-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. There is a 5MP selfie camera housed in a waterdrop-shaped notch while the rear carries a camera 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture alongside a 2MP macro camera and 2MP depth module.
The phone is powered by an unnamed octa-core processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage, which is further expandable via the microSD slot. The phone has a 5,000mAh battery with 22.5W charging and runs HarmonyOS 2.0. Other notable features include dual-band Wi-Fi support, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a headphone jack.

Huawei Enjoy 50z is available in Sapphire Blue, Mint Green and Magic Night Black colors. Pricing for the 6/128GB version starts at CNY 1,199 ($172) while the 8/256GB model costs CNY 1,399 ($201). Open sales in China start on December 26th

The 6/128GB model will cost CNY 1,999 ($287) while the 8/256GB version will be priced at CNY 2,299 ($330). The device is already available over the counter via Huawei’s online store and partner retailers.
