JAKARTA – Microsoft announced their new service PC Game Pass in several countries in Asia. Namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. The service provides access to more than 100 high-quality games. Includes games from Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda games, and an EA Play membership for one affordable monthly price.
Through one membership, players can get a variety of cross-genre PC games that will continue to be updated. Interestingly, for the time being, users can try the preview version PC Game Pass this via the Xbox Insider app for a very cheap price. That is only Rp. 1,500.
Why is it so cheap? Because for the duration of this preview, Microsoft is setting up and testing a local payment system. The goal is to ensure the service is safe to use when it is officially launched.
The first PC Game Pass was launched in 2019. Users can play various curated games. Well, the service was finally brought to countries in Southeast Asia.
“This is an important part of reaching billions of players,” said Jeremy Hinton, Xbox Asia Business Lead.
PC Game Pass includes games like Minecraft, Forza Horizon 5, Age of Empires IV, Sea of Thieves and Microsoft Flight Simulator, and more.
It also includes new Xbox Game Studios games from day one like Halo Infinite, as well as iconic franchises like Fallout and Bethesda So’s The Elder Scrolls.

EA Play is also included in the service, featuring some of the biggest franchises in the world including FIFA, Battlefield, The Sims and Mass Effect. “PC Game Pass has a collection of high-quality games from various game studios. Xbox Insiders members will get their first chance to experience it,” said Jeremy.

Well, here’s how to use PC Game Pass:
1. Download the Xbox Insider app from the Microsoft Store on Windows.
2. Sign in to the app with your Microsoft account.
3. Go to the Preview tab and join PC Game Pass Southeast Asia Market Expansion.
4. Wait until the registration is complete.
5. When you are already in preview mode, open the Xbox app which you can find in the Microsoft Store in Windows if it is not already installed.
6. Sign in to the Xbox app with the same Microsoft account you used to join PC Game Pass Southeast Asia Market Expansion.
7. Start a PC Game Pass subscription from within the Xbox app.
8. After registering, you are ready to start downloading and playing games from the existing collection!
