Fortunately, however, there is a more subtle way of communicating and over which you have less control.

And these are the involuntary messages that are sent with the mind and body. Messages that in the case of depression may be sufficient to better understand who is in front of you so that you can help him. We therefore try to identify the most important.

Look lost in emptiness. One of the signs that indicate the possibility of a depression is the so-called gaze lost in emptiness. Obviously those who are depressed do not know they have this way of looking at the world. However, it is perceived by those around it and often even leads people to become estranged.

Eyelids drooping. Another sign that is often associated with the first is that of drooping eyelids. A bit as if the person did not have the necessary strength to support the eyelid muscles which, therefore, appear turned downwards. An aspect that combined with the first cannot go unnoticed because, among other things, it gives a sad expression to its owner.

Mouth that tends downwards. As with the eyelids, the lips also tend to have the same problem. The depressed person, precisely because he lacks happy or at least positive thoughts, always has the line that tends downwards and that somehow indicates sadness. Which combined with the eyes outlines a truly difficult image not to be recognized as a sign of a sad person or who is going through a bad period.

Eyebrows slightly tilted downwards. Exactly as for the eyes and the mouth, the eyebrows also tend to point downwards. An aspect that completes the image of sadness typical of the person who is going through a period of depression and who therefore cannot smile at life, placing himself instead with a sad and discouraged expression.

Head that tilted. Those who are depressed have the habit, always involuntary, of bending their heads down or tilting them to the side. Which he does especially when he tries to listen to others. In any case, the position of the head, already alone, suggests a sort of internal discomfort which added to the rest by a clearer idea of the situation.
