It can be nice if you can try a game without paying for it right away. It’s hard to buy all the games you like and just hope that it pays off to resell it if it’s disappointing. Those who were not yet completely convinced of Hogwarts Legacy can now play that game completely for free.
With PS Plus Premium you can download a trial version of the game. This is possible on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. There is only a small caveat to the whole thing.
Hogwarts Legacy only briefly free with PS Plus
Compared to other games that as a PS Plus subscriber can try for free, the time you get for Hogwarts Legacy is short. You can play the game for a total of 45 minutes before you have to pay. During cutscenes, the clock usually just ticks with these types of free trials, so the question is how much you can ultimately taste the gameplay.
For comparison: The Last of Us Part 1 can be played for two full hours with the same kind of demo. God of War Ragnarok even gives you three hours. So your time with Hogwarts Legacy is indeed a bit sparse, but it’s better than nothing.
