The human body contains many fats, and some of them are dangerous to the body, especially the “visceral” fat that is concentrated inside the abdominal cavity next to many vital organs, and hence its danger, according to a report by the British newspaper “Daily Express”.
How to get rid of visceral fat in the abdomen
Experts confirm that it is better to lose visceral fat through exercise, in addition to following a healthy diet, which is also part of this equation, as researchers found that exercise plays a major role in preventing and reducing the accumulation of visceral fat in the abdomen.
Tests were conducted on about 175 people to lose visceral fat in the abdominal area, and they were all overweight, and they were divided into groups. People who participated in exercise groups succeeded in losing more visceral fat, while people who were dependent on a healthy diet Only without exercising did they increase the percentage of belly fat, which confirms the importance of exercise, especially moderate exercise, to lose more belly fat.
The researchers noted that the best exercise is walking briskly for 30 minutes, 6 days a week, sufficient to prevent the accumulation of more belly fat.
In another study conducted on 33 elderly women, some of them suffering from obesity, and others from diabetes, three methods of weight loss were applied, the first is based on a low-calorie diet, and the second is based on a low-calorie diet in addition to walking for 50 minutes. Three times a week, and the third, walking only, over a period of 13 weeks.
The results of the study showed that the most successful way is to rely on a healthy diet, along with walking daily, as it helped lose more visceral fat in the abdomen.
The researchers also stressed the importance of limiting fats in the diet, eating more fresh fruits and vegetables, fish or plant-based proteins and whole grains, and using low-fat cooking methods, such as grilling instead of frying.
