How to Get Away with Murder season 6: Have the dead of SPOILERS been forgotten too quickly?

Who Killed Annalize Keating? It was the burning question to which the last episode of the series How to Get Away With Murder ended up responding. The guilty ? Life ! It was ultimately not Annalize Keating who was the target of the shooting outside the court, but Governor Birkhead. The latter is not the only one to have lost her life that day, it was also the case of Frank, her assassin, and Bonnie, who probably received a stray bullet. In the space of a few minutes, Annalize therefore lost two of her most loyal friends and partners. A few minutes, this is exactly the time that seems to have been given to their death in the episode.

Frank and Annalize in Season 6 of How to Get Away with Murder

It was in a heartbreaking scene that Annalize Keating had to face the deaths of Frank and Bonnie. Cries, tears, his pain was most palpable, especially since the latter died in his arms. However, in the following sequences, the consequences of their death are not discussed at all. They are not mentioned and no tribute is paid to them. However, this sixth season of How to Get Away with Murder seemed to have shown once and for all how much Frank, Bonnie and Annalize loved each other. For years, and often in a very clumsy way, they tried to protect each other. Without forgetting the relationship between Frank and Laurel, who played an important role in the lives of the characters and the series. It was by wanting to find Frank that Laurel ended up arousing the curiosity of his father.

Same as for Annalize, the consequences of Frank’s death on the young woman’s life are not shown. The authors of the series may have judged that the scene in the courtroom was enough to show Annalise’s full grief over the loss of Frank and Bonnie. As for Laurel, she is very clearly seen fleeing as quickly as possible to shelter her son. We can also assume that their dead did not arrive until the end of the episode, that left little time to explore their consequences. Otherwise, season 6 of How to Get Away with Murder had the daunting task of bringing an end to many intrigues and narrative arcs of the series. So there were already a lot of points to discuss. Despite everything, we still have the impression that their disappearance, although very significant, was somewhat expeditious. At least, in their final moments, Frank and Bonnie got to know that they mattered for Annalize.
