It is estimated that each year there are about 1.38 million new cases and 458 thousand deaths in the world from breast cancer.
In the country, this disease eIt is one of the main causes of death in women, In 2019 alone, according to data from the National Institute of Public Health, for every 100,000 women aged twenty years or more, 35.24 new cases of breast cancer were reported and the national mortality rate from this disease is 17.19 deaths for every 100 thousand women.
This disease is accompanied by a series of changes in the body and even the mood of each patient; one of the most noticeable changes is hair loss who suffer derived from the treatment for which various institutions are dedicated to collecting it to carry out oncology wigs and helping patients. This is one of Neverías Frody’s initiatives against breast cancer.
“This call to donate hair braid is important because we know that 70% of women who suffer an emotional disorder when going through this disease, is given by the issue of hair loss. In the end I think that hair loss is a much more specific example of the disease of course happening and for women it is something that generates an emotional shock and the fact of feeling better emotionally with its help also to have a positive treatment ” says Beatriz Rodríguez, General Director of Neverías Frody.
