Procedure
You will have to go to the counter ASL closest to you to ask the question. You must bring your health card, a valid identity document and a photocopy of them.
You will receive a form to fill out at the counter and a list of general practitioners available. All doctors who have not yet reached the maximum of patients are available.
The clerk will guide you through this procedure which only takes a few minutes.
You can also carry out the procedure online but you will need to have the credentials to enter the ASL website.
Credentials are requested at the counter, you will have to present yourself with the documents (health card and identity document) and you will receive your username and password.
You can then do the procedure comfortably remotely by sending everything electronically.
Without change of residence
How to change the GP without the change of residence? The first thing we are told when we move is to make the change of medical residence to take advantage of on-site medical care. However, it is not necessary on the contrary of what you think.
You will have to go to your ASL of residence and carry out the procedure for the temporary suspension of medical residence.
You will be issued with documents that you will then have to present in the new ASL. Here you can change your GP as per the procedure following the same indications already listed.
The ASL also provides the possibility of carrying out these operations by proxy, it is not necessary to go personally. It may happen that those who have to make the change are unable to do so for health reasons. You can withdraw the proxy sheet at the counters or alternatively you can also complete a self-certification. A photocopy of the document and the health card must always be attached to the self-certification.
