President STATE Blangiardo announced the arrival of subsidies to families with self-employed, dependent, unemployed and incompetent families. The average amount of government shock absorbers will be equal to 1,990 euros per family unit with dependent children. This is a monthly contribution of over 200 euros that will reach Italian families with modest incomes and who need support for parenting. It is possible to apply for the subsidy through the online services of the social security institution upon presentation of the current ISEE certifying one’s income status.
Minister Gualtieri confirmed that these economic benefits are intended for all workers with minor children who fall within specific income thresholds. The disbursement of the INPS allowance will start from the seventh month of pregnancy and will continue until the age of 21 of the dependent children. An extension of the duration of the benefit up to 25 years is also envisaged for the benefit of families in conditions of serious financial hardship.
