Düsseldorf The divisional director of an insurance company felt presented: while he was presenting the successes of his department in the presence of his colleagues, the divisional board interrupted him with critical questions about details that the manager could not answer at the time. What the insurance manager initially dismissed with “Bad Day” turned out to be the start of targeted dismantling: Next, the head of accounting lost his title – visible to everyone on the office door and in the email signature.
Later there were even warnings: For example, he used the company credit card privately, although he only mixed up the cards when paying a taxi bill and refunded the amount immediately. When rumors reached him about “his inability” and that “he had fallen out of favor”, the insurance manager realized: “The management wants to get rid of me.”
