There are no injured tourists, only a lot of material damage

A fire broke out in a hotel in Sozopol, which is located near the holiday village “Duni”, NOVA has learned.

The incident was reported at around 7.30 pm. The fire started in the hotel kitchen. The fire then spread to the roof of the building.

Two fire brigades were sent to the scene to put out the fire.

There were no tourists in the hotel, everyone was outside. The roof did not burn, as originally reported.

According to the owner, the burned part is not habitable, there were no tourists nearby. There are only garages and laundry room. There were 4 guests during the fire, no one was injured, but there was a lot of material damage.

The most likely cause of the fire is an uncleaned chimney.

Tomorrow, additional examinations will be conducted to determine where the fire originated.
