Government United States of America re-announcing the delivery of new weaponry for troops Ukraine who fought against Russia. The weapon includes ammunition for rocket launchers HIMARS and artillery guns.
Reported from the news agency AFPOn Tuesday (2/8/2022), National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters the new $550 million package would “include more munitions for the advanced high-mobility rocket system otherwise known as HIMARSas well as ammunition for artillery”.
The aid included 75,000 rounds of 155mm artillery rounds, according to a Pentagon statement.

“In order to meet the requirements of his ever-evolving battlefield, United States of America will continue to work with allies and partners to provide Ukraine with key capabilities,” the Pentagon or Department of Defense said in a statement.
This brings the total military assistance provided to Ukraine since US President Joe Biden took office it is now more than $8.8 billion, according to the Pentagon.
Previous weapons assistance from the United States to Ukraine included counter-artillery radar, Javelin anti-tank missiles, Soviet-made helicopters, shells and light armored vehicles.
Kirby also praised the first shipment of Ukrainian wheat which departed from the port of Odessa on Monday (1/8) local time.
