Freiburg (dpa / lsw) – After several weeks of the corona crisis, the Freiburg University Hospital is opening up again to other sick people. The outpatient and inpatient operation for non-corona patients will be expanded, the clinic announced on Tuesday. Falling infections and increased hygiene protection made this possible. Diseased people without coronavirus have been helped so far. This will now be easier again. The clinic has expanded its rooms for this. Wards and outpatient clinics have been enlarged and redesigned to make treatment easier. These had been stopped or restricted because of Corona.
Freiburg is the third largest university clinic in Germany. With nearly 200 affected so far, it claims to be one of the clinics nationwide with the most Covid 19 patients.
Corona and other patients remained physically separate, said a clinic spokesman. This reduces the risk of infection. The ban on visiting the clinic will remain in place to protect against the virus for the time being. In addition, mask requirements apply.
