The Association Hospitality Madrid has denounced “the extreme situation suffered by 22 percent of workers in the hospitality sector who are in a situation of ERTE, a total of 28,160 since April, who have not started collecting their benefits.” As they have collected in a statement, the workers themselves who have gone to SEPE to claim their benefits have received in response “that the problem is from the agencies, which have presented some incorrect data.”

But when the agencies have checked the files, “the data is correctly presented and the SEPE continues without regularizing the situation of these workers in ERTE who, three months later, still do not receive their benefit and live without any type of income,” explains the association.

From Hostelería Madrid they have demanded “an urgent intervention by the Administration to solve the extreme situation that the 28,160 families are experiencing who are currently in a situation of extreme poverty without receiving any financial benefit.”

For the director of Hospitality Madrid, Juan José Blardony, “it is essential that the administration take urgent measures to solve the extreme situation these workers are living, who have been in ERTE since March and without receiving their benefits. It is an intolerable situation that is generating very delicate situations for thousands of families. ”
