The discovery of the planet made astronomers amazed and amazed. The reason is, not all planets are habitable like Earth. Even some planets have extreme conditions that are uninhabitable.

The planet TOI-1431b was discovered by Queensland astronomers. Another name for this planet is MASCARA-5b. This planet is about 490 light years from Earth. The planet is said to be too hot to support life.
The temperature of this planet reaches 2,700 degrees Celsius during the day and 2,300 degrees Celsius at night. At this temperature most of the metal will evaporate. This planet is also referred to as the ‘world of hell’, as quoted from ABC News, Thursday (15/10/2021).
2. Planet HD 189733 b
Planet HD 189733 b was discovered in 2005. This planet is shrouded in a blue color that was originally thought to be similar to Earth. It is 63 light years from Earth. But this planet is also uninhabitable for humans.
Winds on this planet blow at speeds of up to 5,400 mph or 8,700 km/h or about seven times the speed of light. Scientists assess the rain on this planet is not made of water, but of molten glass, as quoted from Space.com.
3. Planet Wasp-76b
This planet is said to be twice the size of Jupiter. It is 640 million light years from the Sun. This planet has extreme conditions. Daytime temperatures can reach 2,400 degrees Celsius, hot enough to vaporize metal.
The night temperature is close to minus 1,000 degrees Celsius which allows metals to condense. Rain on this planet is not in the form of water, but iron droplets that splash down, as quoted from the BBC.
4. Planet COROT-7b
This planet is called similar to Earth because it is a rocky planet. Its distance is estimated to be 500 million light years from Earth. But this planet has a hot temperature. The highest temperature reaches 1,000 degrees Celsius because of its very close position to its star.
This planet is also said to have rain in the form of small pebbles, not water. This is because the atmosphere is made up of the same materials as rock, including iron, silicon monoxide, sodium and potassium.
5. Planet GJ 1214b
This planet was discovered by astronomers in 2009. This planet is 40 light years from Earth in the constellation Ophiuchus. Most of the mass of the planet is made up of water.
The surface temperature of the planet reaches 230 degrees Celsius and is too hot to host life as we know it.
