The accident car is now just a wreck. According to «Bild», L. recently bought the vehicle in Germany to impress women.

The last hours before the mechatronics student died
Sunday, around 1.15 a.m .: The travel group fromGermany was celebrating in St. Johann, just a few minutes away. The “Hexenkessel” après-ski club is popular with winter sports enthusiasts in the Ahrntal, and the Germans also went there. That night they returned to their accommodation in Luttach with a shuttle bus. Shortly thereafter, six of them are dead.

It was also the last night of her life for mechatronics student Janine B. * († 22) from Wuppertal (D). She is one of the three women who died in the horror crash. The evening of the tourist group had started so boisterously. The last video that Janine shared on Instagram shows the 22-year-old happily: she laughs and dances, enjoys her life. These are the last carefree moments of the mechatronics student.

Janine B. († 22) looked death in the eye before
Tragic: Janine B. had previously faced death. In September 2014, she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease. In an internet diary, she wrote about her fight against lymphatic cancer. She has survived six chemotherapies and struggled back to life.

Janine B. had just returned from a year abroad in Australia. She wanted to celebrate life, but found death – as did five other Germans. When the Audi TT thundered into the crowd, Felicitas V. * had no chance. The medical student from Baden-Württemberg had last studied in Hamburg and played the violin.

Architecture student Julius U. * from Cologne and ambitious amateur footballer Julian V. * († 22), who played as a midfielder for TSV Siegen, also died with her. Rita B. * from Remscheid and Philipp S. * († 22) did not survive the Luttach tragedy.

“I saw people fly around”
The driver of the shuttle bus has seen the last few seconds in the life of German tourists and remembers “Bild”: “Everyone got out and I said goodbye to the supervisor. I closed the doors. »It is only a 100-meter walk to the hotel. Unsuspecting, the group crosses the street when Stefan L. comes racing and thunders into it.

The bus driver tried to use the flasher to warn of the tragedy – to no avail. “Then I saw in the rearview mirror how people flew around,” he continued. Stefan L. was transferred from the hospital to the Bozen prison on Monday. He faces up to 18 years in prison.
