A Jeep Grand Cherokee wrecked after an accident on the Kanci Toll Road towards Central Java, Thursday (15/7/2021). Known, driver Jeep Grand Cherokee the one in the accident was ex CEO of PT Guaranteendo Inter Global, Muhammad Al Abdullah. Guaranteed Inter Global Previously, he was the agent of the Jeep brand holder before being taken over by Hascar and is now held by PT DAS Indonesia Motor.
In an upload on his Facebook, Muhammad Al Abdullah confirmed that he was driving the car himself. At the time of the incident, he was driving on the Kanci Toll Road to Central Java.
“It happened that I was on the right lane of the toll road and in front there was an Avanza car on the right lane which suddenly braked suddenly,” said the man who is familiarly called Memet in an upload on Facebook including photos of a Jeep car that was badly wrecked in the front.
Memet regretted that the Active Brake Collision System (ABCS) safety feature on the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6L Summit which was designed to avoid accidents did not work. As a result, he had to step on the brakes manually as much as possible.
“Yes (ABCS) doesn’t work. That’s why I braked a bit,” said Memet to detikcom, Monday (19/7/2021).

When you hit the brakes as much as possible, the steering wheel is thrown to the left. Unfortunately, on the left was a container truck and he hit the container truck.
“Alhamdulillah, I was driving myself, and thank God I survived without any injuries, even though the AIRBAGS did not come out!!” he said.
Seen in the photo uploaded by Memet, Jeep Grand Cherokee the one he was driving was crushed in the front. Even though it was crushed in the front, the steering wheel is still intact, airbag doesn’t seem to come out at all. It is known, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has several airbags, including for the driver and front passenger, airbags for driver knee protection, and side curtain airbags in the first and second rows.

At the time of the accident, Memet insisted he was wearing a seat belt. “The seatbelt is on, if not, I’m already mentally out,” said Memet.
Due to a safety feature that did not work during an accident, Memet filed a complaint with the Jeep principal through APM in Indonesia. “Because how can a car with “advanced” safety features be “abundant” but at the time of the incident the safety features ABCS and AIRBAGS none of them work, “he said.
However, according to Memet, until now he has not received a response from the Jeep. Memet said that if the Jeep principal was not responsible, he would take legal action.
“If the FCA is not responsible, because I am SAFE, let’s settle it legally,” Memet wrote on Facebook.
