Horror accident on A4: truck drives into traffic jam, two people die

Last Monday evening around 9.45 p.m., according to TAG24 information, an Iveco truck sped unbraked onto the end of a traffic jam between the Ottendorf-Okrilla and Hermsdorf junction near the “Am Eichelberg” car park.
The truck pushed such a Volvo in front of him under another truck. Both occupants of the car are said to have been trapped and had to be freed by the fire department.
The 26-year-old passenger died at the scene of the accident.
The 32-year-old Volvo driver had to be taken to hospital with very serious injuries.
The truck driver is also said to have suffered injuries and came to a hospital in a rescue helicopter.
The section of the route was closed until 4 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

The police are investigating the cause of the accident.

After the serious accident last Monday evening, the 32-year-old driver also died in the hospital. Police spokesman Sebastian Ulbrich announced this on Friday morning.
