Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The government of North Korea (North Korea) has reportedly offered additional personnel to assist Russia in Ukraine. Unmitigated, the country led by Kim Jong Un has offered up to 100,000 troops.
This was revealed by the words of Russian defense expert Igor Korotchenko. Pyongyang’s offer was explained in a broadcast aired by Russian media, Rossiya-1.
“There are reports that 100,000 North Korean volunteers are ready to come and take part in the conflict,” he was quoted as saying New York PostMonday (8/8/2022).

Korotchenko added that North Korea itself already has a capable anti-missile attack capability. This capability is suitable for use in the war against Ukraine which already has advanced HIMARS missiles provided by the United States (US).
“If North Korea expresses a desire to fulfill its international duty to fight Ukrainian fascism, we must let them,” he added.
North Korea has so far taken steps to support Russia in the war in Ukraine. Pyongyang has also given official recognition to two separatist-controlled regions of Ukraine, the Luhansk People’s Republic and the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Meanwhile, the reclusive country is also having heated relations with the US-led West. The reason is, the US and some of its allies in Asia such as South Korea and Japan are still trying to thwart the country’s weapons development program.
