Horrified, conventional and Islamic state-owned banks are led by former bankers of Bank Mandiri

KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. The work of bankers from PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) quite brilliant. How not, four state-owned banks are currently led and controlled by Bank Mandiri alumni. Most recently, Bank Mandiri in the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) appointed Darmawan Junaidi as the main director of the bank with this gold ribbon logo.

Not only Darmawan, shareholders also blessed Alexandra Askandar as deputy managing director of Bank Mandiri, while Sigit Prastowo will serve as director of finance and strategy. Alexandra previously served as director of corporate banking at Bank Mandiri and Sigit was director of finance at BNI.

The Bank Mandiri EGMS also appointed Rohan Hafas as director of institutional relations, and Susana Indah Kris Indriati to become director of corporate banking. Meanwhile, the position of director of operations will be held by Tony Eko Boy Subari.

Bank Mandiri Corporate Secretary Rully Setiawan said that the appointment of an internal banker to fill the helm of BMRI is a form of shareholder trust in the human resource development system at Bank Mandiri in the formation of the best talent to be able to bring Bank Mandiri to become the best financial institution in the country. “With this composition of the board of directors, we are optimistic that the board of directors will be more solid and unified in bringing Bank Mandiri through the economic conditions amid the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Rully. video conference, Wednesday (21/10).

Darmawan’s position as managing director replaces Royke Tumilaar who has now occupied the number one seat at BNI. Royke officially served as the president director of Bank BNI through the EGMS which was held on Wednesday (2/9).

In addition to Royke, a number of Bank Mandiri bankers were also appointed to fill the bank’s board of directors bearing the 46 logo. Among others, Silvano Rumantir who was appointed as director of corporate banking at Bank BNI. Previously, Silvano was a former finance director at Bank Mandiri.

Then, David Pirzada served as director of risk management at Bank BNI. Prior to joining Bank BNI, David was a senior executive vice president (SEVP) wholesale risk at Bank Mandiri.
