Looking at children growing up in excluded areas of so-called social minorities, many people think that their fate is sealed and they don’t have much of a chance to succeed in life. This is exactly what the brothers heard as children Bendigoviwho are now an integral part of Czech show business.
“As children, we didn’t feel that we didn’t have anything to eat or that our parents didn’t have a job, that they couldn’t take care of us. It must have been challenging for them from their point of view. I believe that those were difficult times for them, but for us it was one of the nicest times.” Jan Bendig recalled his childhood. This was precisely one of the reasons why in 2007 their parents decided to leave the Czech Republic and go to England in search of something better.

“Dad found out he had a cousin in Liverpool, England. So he actually drove there blindly, found a job, and then we came to see him.” described Marsell, who also revealed that it was from this time that he and his brother brought a special custom from the UK. “When we are together, we talk in English. It’s something we do automatically, even though we’re both Czech like a log,” revealed the recent holder of the Czech Lion. Both show all socially disadvantaged children that nothing is impossible and that everyone can follow their dreams.
