Honor Magic8 to Feature 200-Megapixel Zoom Camera Powered by ‘Noxgod’ Technology
Shenzhen, China – Honor is preparing to launch its MAGIC8 smartphone series on October 4, 2025, featuring a new image processing technology dubbed ‘Noxgod’ designed to significantly enhance night photography and zoom capabilities. The announcement comes as Honor continues to establish itself as an independent brand following its separation from Huawei in 2020.
Li Kun,manager of Honor’s flagship products,revealed details about the Noxgod technology on weibo,a prominent Chinese multimedia platform. According to Kun, the technology will upgrade the efficiency of telephoto cameras, specifically those utilizing a 200-megapixel resolution, on the upcoming Magic8 smartphones. The name ’Nox’ originates from the Roman god of night.
