A new member has been added to the Honor Magic 5 series, or if we want to make a pun, the final model has arrived, i.e. the Magic 5 Ultimate. The smartphone was announced in China at an event.
Underneath the extremely flashy leather cover, the Ultimate model is actually a special Honor Magic 5 Pro equipped with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The smartphone will be available in black or orange in China, both are covered in vegan leather, and in the box there is also a premium, A Montblanc Bespoke case is also included. As a small extra, the Ultimate model is also packed with a USB-C connected headset.
All that aside, we get the same Honor Magic 5 Pro with a slightly different back design, but the same hardware specs.
The front of the Honor Magic 5 Ultimate is dominated by a 6.81-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 2848 x 1312 pixels, the panel supports adaptive image refresh up to 120 Hz. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset continues to cover the screen, supplemented by the aforementioned amount of RAM and internal storage. A silicon-carbon battery with a capacity of 5450 mAh, which is compatible with 66-watt fast charging, is responsible for the energy supply.
There are two image recording units on the front side, a 12-megapixel selfie camera and a depth sensor. The back of the Honor Magic 5 Ultimate is adorned with a triple camera system with three 50-megapixel sensors, one is a 3.5x zoom periscope module, the other is an ultra-wide unit with autofocus and macro capabilities, and there is an f/1.6 aperture, 1/1.12 inch main camera as well.
The Honor Magic 5 Ultimate can now be ordered in China, where it can be purchased at a price of approximately 908 euros (~ HUF 342,000) in local currency. Delivery of the ordered models is expected to begin on March 20. There was no mention of an international release.
