Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) has not yet sold electrification products in Indonesia. However, at the 2022 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), Honda will introduce electrified cars as well as release new models.
“We will bring the latest technology from Honda. One of them we will bring electrification technology and also motor sport as DNA from Honda,” said Public Relations Chief PT Honda Prospect Motor, Yessy Anastasia, during a press conference at the Sheraton Hotel, South Jakarta.
He further said that the Honda booth will display 25 cars which are divided into the electrification zone, the racing zone, the Honda Sensing zone and the Honda Brio zone.

Finally, Honda will release a new model. Unfortunately no silhouette is displayed so the information is still kept tightly.
“There will be the latest excitement from Honda, so media friends don’t forget to wait for the latest products from Honda at GIIAS 2022,” he said.
It is alleged that one of Honda’s new models is a small SUV. This is because the signal for the presence of a new Honda car also strengthened after the data appeared in the Motor Vehicle Sales Value (NJKB) of Samsat. The basic price is cheaper than the Honda BR-V. On the Motor Vehicle Sales Value page of the DKI Jakarta Samsat, the code “DG47” is written for the manual transmission and “DG48” for the automatic transmission. The code is also accompanied by the number 1.5 indicating that a 1500 cc engine will be embedded.
The DG code was also previously installed on the body of the new generation Honda BR-V. That is Honda’s answer to compete in the Low SUV market. It is possible that the code refers to the production version of the RS Concept SUV.
In the new code, Honda cars are divided into five variants, namely 1.5 EM/T, 1.5 E CVT, 1.5 RS M/T, 1.5 RS CVT, and 1.5 RS CVT Z.
On the other hand, the NJKB of this car is cheaper than the Honda BR-V, starting at Rp. 163 million. But that does not include Customs Transfer Tax, Sales Tax on Luxury Goods, and so on.
Then a design patent allegedly for a Honda SUV, a potential competitor to the Toyota Raize and Daihatsu Rocky, appeared. The design patent is registered in one of the documents of the Directorate General of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
The design patent is very identical to the RS Concept SUV which was previously showcased at GIIAS 2021 and in several cities. This design patent was filed by Asian Honda Motor Co., LTD.
