Homemade granny soup with bacon or pork fat [PRZEPIS]

Recipe for homemade pickle according to grandma’s recipe.

Zalewajka is a delicious and nutritious soup. How did our grandmothers make it? Patrycja Fudalewska-Jasińska, our Reader, shared the recipe for flooding according to her grandmother’s recipe.
Most of us probably associate flood water with the movie “How I unleashed the second world war.” Franek Dolas used to say: “And when I leave here, I’ll make you (…) a flood water”. Do and you!

Ingredients

  • 200 g smoked bacon (grandma uses lard)
  • 250 ml of sourdough for white borscht
  • 100 ml of cream
  • 6 potatoes
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 onion
  • bay leaf
  • 1 allspice
  • salt pepper

Execution
Cut the bacon into cubes. Throw half of the bacon into the pot, add allspice and bay leaf, pour water and cook. Brown the remaining bacon with the finely chopped onion in a pan.
Peeled and washed potatoes, cut into cubes and put into a pot with boiling stock. In a separate bowl, mix white borscht with sour cream and garlic squeezed through a press. When the potatoes are soft, add a mixture of borscht and cream, fried onion and bacon to the soup. Season to taste with salt and pepper, cook for a while. Can be served with bread.
