Al-Ahly responds to Amir Mortada's statements: We refused Ajay's departure for Zamalek

“Certainly, we did not think about dispensing with the Nigerian player Junior Ajay, the first team striker for Al-Ahly football club, he is one of the main pillars in the ranks of the Red Castle team and an important player and always adds a lot to the team.” On the statements of Amir Mortada Mansour, with Al-Ahly agreeing to leave Ajay in exchange for a contract with Ahmed Al-Shennawi.

One of Al-Ahly officials said in exclusive statements to “Al-Watan Sport“: “In the past, my family asked to dispense with Ajay’s services, but we refused and held onto the player, and we rejected the coach’s wish at the time.”

He continued: “Ajay received several attractive offers in order to leave, but the club rejected his departure as one of the main elements of the team.”

Al-Ahly refuses to comment on Amir Mortada’s statements

He concluded: “I refuse to comment on that agreement regarding the replacement of Ajay with the Shenawi deal, but Al-Ahly certainly would not have dispensed with the player at that time.”
