It was created in the spring of 2019 at the songwriting camp “RIGaLIVE 4”. Previously, the musicians had not collaborated, but the first meeting turned out to be productive – allowing conversations and free flow of thoughts, the song was composed and recorded in one day.
“At the beginning, we talked a lot about the fact that people spend their lives virtually, their world is formed on social networks, about other global problems. We wrote down the best phrases, we also worked with musical phrases in a similar way, “Rūdolfs Macats remembers the creation of the song.
“This song is the opposite of what we do everyday, and that’s why we like it so much!” says Ervins Ramins. The song “The End of the World” came about quickly and organically, which was a pleasant surprise. Since we met in an organized camp, but, in fact, by chance, we immediately agreed not to write what could be expected of us, I remember talking about Dullo Dauka, who went to the edge of the world – where he hadn’t been before. And we followed in his footsteps. In addition to this song, three or four more songs have started. So – the sequel will follow! “
Ervīns Ramiņš is better known as a soloist in the group “Laime exhaustina” and vocal teacher, Rūdolfs Macats is a graduated jazz pianist and works in the ensemble “Vēstnieks”, Arnis Račinskis is the leader of the group “Laika suns” and a record producer.
