Mythical actor Kirk Douglas, icon of the golden age of American cinema, died at the age of 103

Cinema “He was one of the very last sacred monsters in Hollywood. Actor Kirk Douglas died Wednesday at the age of 103. Famous for his roles in Paths of Glory and Spartacus, by Stanley Kubrick, or The Vikings and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, by Richard Fleischer, the actor, son of destitute Jewish immigrants, had become an icon of the age gold of American cinema.
It was his son Michael Douglas, also an actor, who announced the death on social networks: “It is with great sadness that my brothers and I announce that Kirk Douglas left us at the age of 103 years . For everyone he was a legend […] who has lived a wonderful life, a philanthropist who is committed to defending justice and the causes which are dear to him and which has inspired us all. ”
