Holland Casino will close all fourteen branches from midnight on Friday, the company announced on Thursday evening. This in connection with the new measures to combat the corona virus.
No new guests are allowed in at 11 p.m. The measure applies to establishments in Amsterdam-West Sloterdijk, Amsterdam Center, Utrecht, Rotterdam, Scheveningen, Zandvoort, Groningen, Leeuwarden, Nijmegen, Enschede, Valkenburg, Eindhoven, Venlo and Breda.
In a response, Holland Casino CEO Erwin van Lambaart said that she followed the guidelines of the government and the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM). “Also at the Holland Casino locations there are usually more than a hundred guests and employees present. That is why we do not take any risks,” says Van Lambaart.
All events and other gatherings for more than a hundred people were banned by the cabinet on Thursday afternoon. The cabinet hopes, for example, to prevent the rapid spread of the coronavirus. The measures apply in any case until 31 March.
